Meeting Format

Good Morning everyone.  My Name is ___________________  and I am an alcoholic.

Welcome to the New Day Group Online.  We meet 7 days a week at 6:30 AM United States East Coast Time.  This is an open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous.  You are welcome here.

Let’s open the meeting with a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer:

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

This is the Preamble of Alcoholics Anonymous:

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

In this group we share our experiences.  We do not give advice, offer opinions, or crosstalk.  To share please use the “Raise Hand” feature so the chairperson can. Recognize you.

Be mindful of the size of the group and limit your share to three minutes.  We do not use a timekeeper.

If you are at your first AA meeting EVER… anytime or anyplace please let us know so we can be helpful

If this is your first time at this meeting please let us know

If you are celebrating a milestone we would like to send you a chip in the mail. Please go to ndgonline.org/chips to tell us where to mail it to:
